Growing up between the Black Forest and Rome from an early age I observed and was fascinated by differences and similarities between cultures. By their traditions and behavior, their facial expressions and gesturing, by the lights of a city and all the different colours of the nature.
In 2008, I took my first picture with a professional camera — that was the beginning of a wonderful journey.
In 2009, while I studied psychology in Cologne, I started working as a photographer.
In 2014, I went to a school of photography in New York and only after a few weeks celebrated my first exhibition in a Brooklyn gallery.
Today, I live and work as a photographer in Berlin, with a second base in Rome, traveling all over the world. I believe in the power of photography - to reveal what is behind the masks people take on in their daily lives and to engage respectfully with human vulnerability.
